Agnes B. Odette was born on August 17, 1935 in Clyde, KS to Philip & Marceline (Morrissette) Nobert. She passed from this life on Wed., April 21, 2010 at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita, KS at the age of 74. Agnes graduated from Miltonvale High School. She worked as a clerk/cashier for Montgomery Wards from 1954-61. She was a homemaker & farm wife for many years. She later worked as a desk clerk at the Skyliner Motel until working in housekeeping at Cheyenne Lodge and later Mt. Joseph Senior Community. Agnes was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, the Chitter-Chatter Club & the VFW #588 Ladies Auxiliary. Agnes was an avid card player and a member of several bridge & card clubs. Agnes was a caring, loving person, thinking of others before herself. She is survived by her son: Joe Odette & wife Jennifer, Concordia, KS; daughter: Jane Miller & husband Jeff, Topeka, KS; brother: Bernard Nobert & wife Beulah, Concordia, KS; grandchildren: Cody Odette & Hattie Clark, Concordia, KS, Cyle Odette & fiancé Hannah Coash, Manhattan, KS, Colton Odette, Concordia, KS & Thayne & Danyon Miller, Topeka, KS. She was preceded in death by her parents & 6 brothers. Memorial services will be held at 10 AM, Monday, April 26, 2010 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home with Rev. Barry Brinkman officiating. It was Agnes' wishes to be cremated and friends may sign the register book from 1-8 PM with an Altar Society Rosary at 5 PM & Vigil services at 6:30 PM with the family greeting friends following the vigil on Sunday, April 25, 2010 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home. Burial of the cremains will follow at the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, St. Joseph, KS. The family suggests memorials to the Agnes Odette Memorial.
