Alan Jay Petersen, was born on Sept. 25, 1921 in Omaha , NE to Martin & Hannah (Neilsen) Petersen. He died on Thurs., April 19, 2012 in Lincoln , NE at age 90. He was a lifelong Jamestown area farmer and married Donna Willard on Sept. 12, 1945 in Belleville , KS . He is survived by his wife, Donna, Jamestown ; son, Tom Petersen and wife Linda, Jamestown ; daughter, Pam Dyer, Wichita , KS ; 5 grandchildren & 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, a brother and an infant brother. Cremation has taken place and Memorial services will be held at 2 PM, Fri., April 27, 2012 at St Luke's Lutheran Church , rural Jamestown , KS with burial of the cremains to follow at the St. Luke's Lutheran Cemetery . There will be no visitation. The family suggests memorials to the St. Luke's Lutheran Church .
