Albert L. Callaway, age 76, of Concordia, KS, passed away on Monday, March 6, 2023 at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita, KS.  He was born on December 19, 1946 in Concordia, KS, to Emmett H. & Marguerite B. (Abbott) Callaway.

Albert was an active member of the Boy Scouts and received their highest rank of Eagle Scout. He graduated from Concordia High School in 1965 where he played many sports, proudly lettering in football and basketball.  He later attended Cloud County Community College and Emporia State University.  He was a lifelong member of The Baptist Church of Concordia, KS.

Albert was married to Susan Blackburn, also from Concordia and now residing in Bellaire, TX, from 1969 to 1982.  They had one daughter, Tabitha (Callaway) Rice. He is survived by his daughter, Tabitha, son-in-law William, and their three children, Mackenzie, Matthew, and Max Rice of Houston, TX.  Survivors also include nephews Peter, Joseph, and James Callaway and their families.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Donald Callaway.
