Alice Marie Hubert was born on Jan. 22, 1921 in Concordia, KS to William (Bill) & Eva (Peltier) Giroux. She passed from this life on Mon., May 25, 2009 at her home in Concordia, KS at the age of 88. Alice graduated from Concordia High School. She then went to work for Concordia Creamery for 4 years, where she met Albert Hubert. They were married on July 24, 1946 in Concordia, KS. She worked for over 20 years at St. Joseph Hospital in Concordia as a nurses aid, retiring in 1984. Alice was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church and a former member of the Altar Society and American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by her husband, Albert Hubert, Concordia, KS; son, Ron Hubert & wife Arlys, Concordia, KS; daughters, Sharon Stallings & husband Tom, Lawrence, KS & Karen Lagerstrom & husband Bob, Eudora, KS; 6 granddaughters & 1 great grandson. She was preceded in death by her sons, Richard & Duane Hubert; parents; 5 brothers & 2 sisters. A mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 AM, Thurs., May 28, 2009 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with Rev. Barry Brinkman officiating. Visitation will be held from 9 AM to 9 PM with a vigil service at 6:30 PM, Wed., May 27, 2009 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia. Burial will follow the services at St. Concordia Cemetery. The family suggests memorials to the Cloud County Health Center Foundation.
