Allen (Tud) L. Smith, 84, Concordia died Mon., Sept. 27, 2010 in the Mount Joseph Senior Village, Concordia. He was born November 12, 1925 in Concordia to Ralph and Maurine (Larson) Smith. On June 18, 1947, he married Dorothy Rathbun, of Formoso. Tud's work experience included the County in Jamestown, Jamestown Public School District in Maintenance, McPherson College in Maintenance and Concordia Auto Mart, Inc.. He is survived by daughters, Sondra and husband Bob Woodard; of Spokane, Wa; Deb and husband Jerry Holway, of Casa Grande, Az.; and son, Jade, of Douglas, Ma.. A close friend, Beverly Walker, Concordia, KS. He was so excited to be blessed with seven grandchildren, Michele (Andy) Ford, of Spokane, Wa., Brian (Charlotte) Holway, of Coolidge, Az., Paul (Angie) Holway, of Casa Grande, Az., Wade, Demetria, and then twins Devero and Brent Smith. Then the thrill of being a Great Grandfather to Tristan, son of Paul and Angie Holway. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dorothy, sister and brother-in-law, Aileen and Othel Zimmer; brother, John A Smith; brother, Max R. Smith; and Granddaughter, Bethany Holway. Allen's (Tud's) wishes were to be cremated. Friends may sign the register book from 8-9 AM Tues. at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home. Memorial Services will be at the Jamestown Cemetery with the Rev. Dean R. Frazier officiating on Tues., Sept. 28, 2010 at 10:00 AM. Allen (Tud) Smith's children shared a live memorial service while their Dad was still alive to enjoy being loved on and hearing his children share their stories and beautiful memories. The family suggests memorials to Meadowlark Hospice in care of the funeral home.
