Amanda Girard, age 37, entered into rest on October 28, 2014, at her residence in Clyde, Kansas.

She was born January 21, 1977 in Clay Center, KS to William and Marilyn (Lee) Lierz.

Amanda graduated from Clifton-Clyde High School 1995. She married David Girard on June 7, 1997 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Joseph. Amanda later graduated from Cloud County Community College. She worked for Heidi Resco Photography, she was a web designer & worked for Country Banker. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Clyde where she taught religious education classes (CCD) for several years. She also volunteered her time at Clifton-Clyde school activities.

Amanda enjoyed creating wall art. She was an avid reader and loved to spend time with her family, mostly her loving children & husband.

She is survived by her husband David, and 4 children, Clay, Payton, Dawson & Cooper all of Clyde; father, William "Bill" Lierz, Topeka; mother, Marilyn Pierce, Concordia; brother, Travis Pierce (Corissa) and son Wiley, El Dorado; step-father, Bob Pierce, Clyde; mother in law, Mary Girard, Clyde; sister in law; Carol Lange (Tod) & their children, Laura Lange, Midland, MI, Chris Lange (Chelsie), Farmington Hills, MI & Kelsey Lamb (Nicco), New Orleans, LA; sister in law, Diane Quillen (James), Clyde & their children, James, Wichita & Blake, Brock & Megan all of Clyde; brother in law, Pat Girard (Jolene), St. Joseph, & their children, Paige Shafferman (Jeff), West Des Moines, IA & Dorian, Adria & Elias all of St. Joseph; brother in law, John Girard (Angela) & their children, Zoe, all of Osborne, Emily, Beloit & Katie, Hays; brother in law, Ron Girard (Stephanie) & their children, Quin, Weston, Jolie, Cohen & Remy all of St. Joseph; aunts & uncles; Gail Pierce (Patti), Clyde, Randy Pierce (Margie), New Braunfels, TX, Bryan Pierce (Kim), Clyde, Warren Weibert (Carol), Manhattan, Sheryl White, McPherson, David Weibert, Wichita, Kim Mohan (Steve), Topeka, Kenny Lierz, (Pam), Topeka, James Lierz, Topeka, Jean Wrosch (Dan), Onaga, Shirley Hulsing (Gary), Topeka & Connie Lierz, Baileyville.

She is preceded in death by her father-in-law, Bernard F. Girard; grandparents, Dave & Dorris Weibert, Dean & LaWanna Pierce & Henry & Patricia Lierz.

Visitation will be held on Fri, Oct. 31, 2014 from 11 am to 2 pm at Chaput Mortuary, Clyde and after 3 pm at the church.

A Rosary will be at 4 pm followed by a vigil Service at 7:00 PM, Fri., Oct. 31, 2014 all at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, St. Joseph.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 am, Sat., Nov. 1, 2014 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Clyde with Fr. Larry Letourneau officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions may be given to the Amanda Girard Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
