Anna B. Stolzenburg, 93, Concordia, died Tuesday, June 10, 2008, at Republic Co. Hospital, Belleville. She was a resident of Belleville Health Care Center. She was born on Oct. 7, 1914 in Cuba, KS to Frank and Albina Chruma Tuma. She was a graduate of Cuba High School in 1933. She taught school at Turkey Creek Country School in 1935. She attended Grand Island Business College in 1936. She married Ralph Stolzenburg on Sept. 19, 1940 at Washington, KS. To this union were born two children, Jane and Frank. Ralph preceded her in death on March 5, 1989. She worked at St. Joseph Hospital as a hospital and nurses aid from 1963-1980. She also was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph; one brother, Lodis Tuma; sister, Blanche White and a step-son Harlan Stolzenburg. She is survived by a daughter, Jane Bogle and husband David, Concordia; son, Frank Stolzenburg, Concordia; daughter in law, Shirley Stolzenburg, Concordia; sister, Mildred Heaps, Belleville; 3 step-grandchildren, Susan Melhus, Rhonda Palmquist and Matt Stolzenburg and one step great grandchild, Stephanie Melhus. No services or vistation are planned. Anna will be buried beside Ralph at the Mount Hope Cemetery, Clyde, KS.
