Arlene F. Couture, age 82, entered into rest on April 10, 2015 in Belleville, Kansas. Arlene was born on the Sharpe homestead in rural Washington County, Kansas on June 10, 1932 to George F. and Lena E. (Goering) Sharpe.

Arlene married Leonard M. Couture on September 30, 1950. Two children were born to this union, Carroll Wayne & Irene Faye.  Leonard preceded her in death on June 13, 2005.

Survivors include her two children, a son, Carroll Couture (Jane), Belleville; a daughter, Irene Brown (Bruce), Concordia; 4 Grandchildren, Kevin Couture (Jillian), Belleville; Brad Couture (Tatum), Belleville; Jennifer Wheeler (Brad) Bennington; Spencer Brown (Rio), Concordia; 6 Great Grandchildren, Maklen Brown, Gannon & Gunnar Couture, Annabel & Izzabel Wheeler and Addisyn Couture; 1 sister, Wanda Jansen, Newton and sister-in-law, Sharon Sharpe, Junction City.

She was also preceded in death one stillborn daughter and one stillborn son, Parents, 1 brother, Leland Sharpe.

Arlene was a 1950 graduate of Clyde High School. Arlene was a homemaker; school bus driver for 25 years for USD #224; She operated a business of Income Tax Preparation and Crop Insurance.

She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church, Clyde. Her hobbies were attending her grandchildren's and great grandchildren's activities.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at St. John the Baptist Church, Clyde, with Rev. Larry Letourneau officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Clyde.

Visitation will be held at Chaput Mortuary in Clyde from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 14, 2015 with a Rosary Service at 6:00 p.m.. Family will greet friends from 6:30 until 7:00 after the Rosary Service. Family and friends are welcome to gather at the Clyde Senior Citizen's center at 7:00 p.m. for refreshments.
