Arleyne Frankie
Kaufman
April 29, 1940 – November 25, 2013
Arleyne Frankie Kaufman,
73 years of age, of Concordia, passed away Monday, November 25, 2013 at Mount
Joseph Senior Village in Concordia. She was born in Emporia to Granville and
Carmelina (Grenese) Holmes. Arleyne graduated from Roosevelt High School in
1958. On February 24, 1961, she married Jack Kaufman in Emporia. Arleyne was a
librarian assistant at Cloud County Community College for over 25 years and at
Concordia High School for about 5 years. She loved pets and animals, especially
dogs and cats, and leaves behind her dog Carlotta. Arleyne enjoyed community
theatre and was involved with productions in both the Salina Community Theatre
and the Brown Grand Theatre.
Arleyne is survived by
her husband, Jack; daughter, Carmen Bantugan and husband Gene of Myrtle Beach,
South Carolina; 3 granddaughters, Saba, Aubree, Taylor; sister, Marleyne Farr
of Olpe; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her
parents; and brother, Granville Holmes.
Memorial services will
be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home in
Concordia with Rev. David Strommen officiating. Cremation has taken place but a
register book will be available to sign from 9 AM to 5 PM Tuesday, November 26,
2013 in the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home in Concordia. Memorials are suggested to
the O'Connor Animal Shelter or the Brown Grand Theatre in care of the funeral
home.
Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home in Concordia is in
charge of arrangements.
