Arnold (aka Arnie or

on December 26, 1942.
They enjoyed 51 years together until her death June 8, 1994.
Surviving them are their three married children: Wayne (Ruth Ann),
Hutchinson

Kansas
, Thomas(Leslie),
Eau Claire
,
Wisconsin
, and Barbara (
Franklin
) Cherney, Agenda,
Kansas
.
Arnold
had eight grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Athol; his parents; brother, Kenneth Pearson & sister, Rosalea Hoffman.
Arnold
served with the Idaho Forestry Civil Conservation Corp (1939-1940) as a jackhammer operator.
For most of his life, however, he worked as a painting and paperhanging contractor in and around
Concordia
,
Kansas
.
Arnold
, as a child, was confirmed by the
Bethany
Lutheran
Church
,
Lindsborg

Kansas
.
Later, Arnold and his family joined The Baptist Church,
Concordia
,
Kansas
where he served 58 years.
Arnold
loved to vacation with his family.
Except for
Hawaii
, he traveled to every state in the Union as well as
Canada
and
Mexico
.
He was an earnest Christian who honored Jesus and generously served His church.
Moreover, Arnold, a faithful husband and devoted father, loved and supported his family. Likewise, his family adored him.
The community respected
Arnold, a skilled tradesman and trustworthy businessman.
He took conscientious pride in his occupation.
Full of fun,
Arnold
loved to joke and laugh. He genuinely liked people and they, enjoying his good nature, valued his friendship.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Mon, April 19, 2010 at The Baptist Church, Concordia with Rev. Alden Dick officiating.
Visitation with the family will be held from 12 PM until the service time Monday at the church.
