Audrey Arlene Sallman passed away at the
Geary
Community
Hospital
on February 25
th
, 2009.
She was born in
Scandia
,
Kansas
on April 4
th
, 1933, to Edwin and Veda (Ingraham) Sallman.
Audrey spent her early years traveling with her parents as they followed her father's military career.
She graduated from
Scottsbluff
High School
in
Nebraska
, 1951, and taught school. The family then moved to Concordia, and from there to
Junction City
.
Audrey, along with her sister Loretta were partners in the Abilene Auction Company for many years.
In recent years, she was also a part of the Jackson-Britton co-authoring team.
She is survived by her sisters Nadine Johnson of
Leavenworth, Loretta Jackson of Junction City and Vickie Britton of Hutchinson, and two brothers-in-law, Tony Sitting Up and Roger Britton; aunts and uncles Lewis and Edith Linden, Concordia, Esther Horting, Clifton, and Erma Sallman, Kansas City; numerous cousins and beloved friends: Betty Haugh, and Rose Davis. Her nieces and nephews include David and Shelley Lee Chester,
Bryan
and Debbie Johnson, Richard and Antoinette Perez, Amber, Tony Jr., Andre, Azure,
Austin
, and Apollo Sitting Up, and Ed Britton.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Anita Sitting Up of Lawrence, and her brother-in-law Norman Johnson.

emorial services will be held at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home,

Kansas
on Tuesday, March 3

at 10:30.
Visitors may come by the funeral home Monday from 9-5. The casket will remain closed. Burial will follow at the
