Ava June (Garrison) Boll, 79, of Concordia, passed away peacefully at her residence Friday, October 07, 2011. She was born on May 29, 1932 at Miltonvale to Bayard and Vila (Bonebrake) Garrison. Ava attended New Hope and Cottonwood Grade Schools before graduating in 1950 from Miltonvale Wesleyan Academy in Miltonvale. Her first job was as a bookkeeper/secretary for Regnier Automotive Parts in Concordia. Ava married Paul Wesley "Pete" Boll on May 18, 1952. After relocating in 1953 to Topeka, Ava was a bookkeeper/secretary for C-G-F Grain Company Offices in Topeka until 1958 when they moved to Phoenix, Arizona. From 1962 to 1996, she worked in various positions with the Motorola Semiconductor Products Division in Phoenix. Ava retired and moved back to Concordia in 1996 to care for her elderly parents. She was a member of Our Heritage Wesleyan Church in Scottsdale, Arizona and The Wesleyan Church in Concordia.
Ava is survived by two daughters, Becky Call and husband Glen of San Diego, CA, Brenda Boll of Concordia; three grandchildren, Hillary Call of Denver, CO, Brian Claridge and wife Jenny of Centennial, CO, Kevin Claridge of Prescott, AZ; three great grandchildren, Marisa Claridge, Hailey Claridge, Allison Claridge; a sister, Rita Gail Moncrief and husband Monte of Springfield, LA; and two nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband Paul Wesley "Pete" Boll.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, October 13, 2011 in the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia with Rev. David Redmond officiating. There will be no viewing as cremation has taken place but a register book will be available to sign from 9 AM to 5 PM Wednesday, October 12, 2011. Memorials may be made to The Wesleyan Church in Concordia or the donors' choice.
