Barbara M. Campbell was born on Jan. 8, 1939 in Salina, KS to Buford & Thelma (Hayden) Kitterman. She passed from this life on Tues., Dec. 28, 2010 at Salina Regional Health Center, Salina, KS at the age of 71. Barbara graduated from Concordia High School. She married Arlan R. Campbell on June 9, 1957 at Concordia, KS. He survives the home. Barbara was the Catalog Manager for the J.C. Penney Store in Concordia for 22 years until it closed. She then worked for UMB Bank in Concordia for 5 years until her retirement. She was a member of The Baptist Church, where she was very involved with the Women's Circle. Barbara was an avid lover of the Mystery Book Club at the Frank Carlson Library. She is survived by her husband: Arlan Campbell, Concordia, KS; daughters: Arlanda Murdock, Corpus Christi, TX & Karen Bombardier & husband Nick, Wichita, KS; son: Kevin Campbell & wife Lisa, Hays, KS; brothers: Buford Kitterman, Rio Bravo, TX & John Kitterman, Kansas City, MO; 11 grandchildren & 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM, Mon, Jan. 3, 2011 at The Baptist Church with Pastor David Fabarez officiating. Visitation will be from 1-8 PM with family greeting friends from 6-7 PM, Sun., Jan. 2, at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home. Burial will follow the services at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia. The family suggests memorials to The Baptist Church of the Frank Carlson Library in care of the funeral home.
