Bernadette M. Lambert, age 96, died Thurs., July 9, 2015 at Mt. Joseph Senior Village, Concordia, KS. She was born on May 25, 1919 in Aurora, KS Willis J. & Albia J. (Dugas) Istas.

She graduated from Aurora High School in 1936. She married Flavius A. Lambert on April 8, 1947 in Aurora, KS. He preceded her on Jan. 22, 1996. She was a cook for USD 333 for 42 years. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church and the Altar Society.

She is survived by her daughters; Judith Geering (Don), Broomfield, CO, Martha Mottin (Eddie), Miltonvale & Nancy Long (Tim), Clifton; sons, Dennis Lambert (Barbara), Hesston & Ronald Lambert (Jennifer), Winfield; grandchildren; Jason Mottin, Angela Bates, Lance Lambert, Troy Lambert, Ashley Holle, Jamie Rogge, Brenton Lambert, Melissa Thomas & Jennifer Geering & great grandchildren, Chance & Paige Mottin; Jordyn Scott & Adley Bates; Dylan & Rylan Lambert; Kaden & McKenna Lambert, Kenley Holle & Matthew Mills.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Flavius; her parents and brother, Francis Istas.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am, Wed., July 15, 2015 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Concordia with burial following at St. Concordia Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 am to 9 pm with an Altar Society Rosary at 5 pm and Vigil service at 6 pm, Tues., July 14, 2015 all at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home.
