Obituary

Bernard J. Nobert, 78 years of age, of Concordia , KS passed away Thursday, February 10, 2011 at Park Villa Care Home in Clyde , KS . He was born in Clyde on March 19, 1932 to Phillip and Marcelline (Morrissette) Nobert. Bernard attended school in Clyde and Aurora . He married Beulah Demanett on December 27, 1950 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Aurora . He worked for the Cloud County Highway Department, retiring in 1995 as a road supervisor. Bernard served 9 years in the US Army National Guard. He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Concordia and a lifetime member of Moose Lodge #1428 in Concordia where he held several offices, including President of the State Moose Lodge.

Bernard is survived by his wife Beulah; sons: Lorraine & Nancy Nobert of Miranda, AZ, Richard & Regina Nobert of Fredonia, KS, Kenneth & Gayla Nobert of Lawton, OK; 6 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; 5 brothers: Norbert, LaVerne, Francis, Louis, Orville; and a sister: Agnes Odette.


Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, February 14, 2011 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Concordia with Fr. Barry Brinkman officiating. Inurnment will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Concordia. The family has chosen cremation but a register book will be available to sign from noon – 9PM Sunday, February 13, 2011 with a vigil service being held at 6:30 PM and the family greeting friends from 7 – 8 PM at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home in Concordia. A memorial has been established to the Alzheimer's Association and the church with the funeral home in charge.
