Betty M. Forshee was born on Nov. 25, 1928 in Oak Hill, KS to James and Viola (Angelo) Fyfe. She passed from this life on Mon., Jan. 5, 2009 at Cloud County Health Center, Concordia, KS at the age of 80. ?She graduated from Miltonvale High School. Betty married James W. Forshee on Feb. 5, 1947 at St. Peter's Catholic Church at Meredith Township, Cloud Co., KS. She was a lifelong area resident, farmer and homemaker until she and James moved to Concordia in 1990. She was a lifetime member of the former St. Peter's Catholic Church at Meredith Township. She attended St. Mary's Catholic Church in Glasco and recently at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Concordia. Betty and James were members of Cloud Co. Farm Bureau. She is survived by her husband, James W. Forshee, Concordia, KS; sons, James C. Forshee & wife Peggy, Glasco, KS, Tom Forshee & wife Cathy, Aurora, KS & John Forshee & wife Debra, Clay Center, KS; daughters, Judy Moulton & husband Bob , Concordia, KS, Annette Starr & husband Larry, Concordia, KS & Mary Champlin & husband Greg, Garden City, KS; sisters, Wilma Jean McNee, Clay Center, KS & Arlene Gibson, Wakeeney, KS; 16 grandchildren & 9 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Ray Fyfe. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on Friday, Jan. 9, 2009 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Concordia with Rev. Barry Brinkman officiating. Visitation will be held from 9 AM to 9 PM with a vigil service at 6:30 PM, Thurs., Jan. 8, 2009 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home. Burial will follow the services at St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery, Meredith Township, Cloud Co., KS. The family suggests memorials to the Ronald McDonald House, 1110 N. Emporia, Wichita, KS 67214 or the Cloud County Health Center Auxiliary.
