Obituary
Betty L. Powell, age 94, entered into rest on, Monday, September 10, 2018 at Sunset Nursing Home, Concordia, Kansas. She was born in Russell, Kansas on February 21, 1924 to Stephen and Emma (Septer) Frink.
Betty was as a graduate of Mankato High School, Class of 1942.
Betty married Lynn Powell on December 17, 1944 in Mankato, Kansas and he preceded her in death on February 18, 1999. In 1952 they moved to Jamestown, Kansas.
Betty served as the Cloud County Clerk with over 20 years of service. She then served as a County Clerk trouble shooter for the State of Kansas until her retirement.
Betty was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Concordia, Kansas.
She loved cooking, gardening, spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.
Betty is survived by her son, Mickey Powell (Connie) of Concordia, KS.; 2 daughters, Sherry Heidrick, Hutchinson, KS.; Cynthia Powell, Wichita, KS.; 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lynn, parents, grandson, Tracy Fosdick, 1 sister, Luly, and 1 brother, Ed Frink.
There will be no visitation.
Family has chosen cremation and there will be a private family Inurnment.
Inurnment will take place 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 22, 2018 at the Mt. Hope Cemetery, Mankato, Kansas.
