Beulah M. Appleby was born on March 26, 1918 NE of Hollis, Kansas to Harry and Alice Christie Smock. She passed from this life on Monday, September 1, 2008 at Cloud County Health Center, Concordia, KS at the age of 90. She attended Seapo School in Republic County. She married Delbert Dunphy on July 27, 1936 in Clay Center, KS. He preceded her in death on Jan. 9, 1959. She later married Esthyle Appleby on May 29, 1961 in Belleville, KS. He preceded her in death on Dec. 4, 1989. She worked as a private housekeeper for over 23 years. She was a lifelong Cloud Co. area resident. She is survived by her daughters: Dixie Blazek, Munden, KS and Delores Woolard, Concordia, KS; a step son: Arlen Appleby, Glasco, KS; step daughters: Marsha Smith, Glasco, KS and Cindy Appleby, Glasco, KS; 6 grandchildren; 11 step grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren, 9 step great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Delbert Dunphy & Esthyle Appleby; her parents, brothers - Cecil & Lee Smock and a great grandson, Timothy Voehl. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, September 5, 2008 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia with Pastor L. Dean Thompson officiating. Visitation will be from 9 AM to 9 PM Thursday, Sept. 4, 2008 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home. Burial will follow the services at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia. The family suggests memorials to the Donor's Choice.
