Obituary
Bonnie J. (Crump) Buss, 89 years of age, of Concordia, passed away Saturday, May 24, 2014 at Sunset Nursing Center in Concordia. She was born in Republic County on July 17, 1924 to Harry and Ruth (Kramer) Crump. Bonnie married Carl Buss on October 26, 1952 in the First Christian Church in Concordia. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. Bonnie enjoyed growing flowers, reading, and crossword puzzles.
Bonnie is survived by her daughter, Donna Saunders and husband David of Inman; 2 sons, Micheal Buss and wife Linda of Spivey, William F. Boone of Wichita; 5 grandchildren, Bonnie Thiessen and husband Steven, David Saunders, Jr. and wife Abbey, Ruth Talavera and husband Ivan, Mary J. McKimmey and husband Donne, Levi Saunders and wife Nichole; 15 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Keith Buss of Concordia; sister-in-law, Minnie Sherman of Raytown, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Carl on September 24, 2005; son, Hans; 3 great grandchildren; and 1 brother.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, May 28, 2014 in the First Christian Church in Concordia with Rev. Jeff Nielsen officiating. Interment will be in the Nelson Cemetery at Huscher. Visitation will be held from noon to 9 PM Tuesday, May 27, 2014 in the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home in Concordia. Memorials are suggested to the O'Connor Animal Shelter in care of the funeral home. Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home in Concordia is in charge of arrangements.
