Bonnie L. Welsh was born on Dec. 25, 1918 in Blue Rapids, Kansas to Ralph & Christine (Nelson) Davis.  She passed from this life on April 16, 2007 at Harry Hynes Hospice in Wichita, Kansas at the age of 88.  She attended schools in the Blue Rapids area.  S he married Kenneth Welsh on Aug. 28 , 1935 in Nebraska. He preceded her in death on Feb. 28, 1991. She owned and operated the Paintin' Place in Concordia where she taught art lessons and was a commercial artist. She was a member of The Baptist Church, Concordia. She moved to Wichita in 1992 to be near her family after Kenneth's death. She painted scenery for pageants, plays, etc. for The Baptist Church. She also created several art pieces in the Brown Grande Theatre.  She is survived by her daughter Kathy Smith of Wichita, KS; a son Dale Welsh of Wichita, KS; grandsons Jason & Steffan Smith of Wichita, KS and a sister Imogene Hanson of Grand Island, NE.  Graveside services will be held on Thursday, April 19, 2007 at 1:00 PM in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia, KS.  Visitation will be from 9 AM to 12:30 PM, Thursday, April 19, 2007 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia.  The family suggests memorials to Cornerstone Christian Church, 5 531 E. 37th St. North Wichita, KS 67226.
