Carl Reinhard Trost was born February 20, 1924 in Rural Rice, KS to Ezra M. and Louise Margaret Nanninga Trost.  He passed away from this life on October 1, 2007 at Cloud County Health Center at the age of 83. He graduated from Concordia High School. After graduation he enlisted in the United States Navy where he served as Aviation Electronic Technicians Mate.  He married Verna Nagel on February 20, 1946 in Kanorado, KS. He was a farmer in the Huscher area. He was a rural mail carrier. He was a radio technician for KFRM. He was a member of Huscher United Methodist Church since age 13. He also taught Sunday School for over 30 years and was a Youth Sponsor. He and Verna took Missionary Work Trips to Honduras for 20 years. He was a member of the Coop Credit Union Board, Soil Conservation Board, the American Legion Post #76 and NARF. He was an avid mushroom hunter.  He is survived by his wife Verna of the home; Sons: Bruce Trost and wife Susan, of Concordia, KS; Eldon Trost and wife Tana, of Belleville, KS; Daughters: Kathy Mitchell and husband Jack, of Concordia, KS; Jeannie Buss and husband Rev. Larry, of Council Grove, KS; and Sandy Boeschling & husband Gailyn, of Clay Center, KS; Sister: Lois Duewell, of Concordia, KS; 15 Grandchildren; 14 Great Grandchildren; Host of Nieces and Nephews.  He was preceded in death by a son- Curtis Andrew Trost, Parents, Granddaughter- Andrea Buss; Brothers: Merton, Harold, and Robert Trost.  Services will be at 10:00 AM Thursday, October 4, 2007 at the Huscher United Methodist Church with the Rev. L. Dean Thompson officiating.  Visitation will be 9 AM to 9 PM Wednesday, October 3, 2007 with the family receiving friends from 6 PM to 8 PM.  Burial will be in Nelson Cemetery, Rural Huscher, KS with Graveside Military Honors by VFW Post #588 and American Legion Post #76.  Memorials may be made to Huscher United Methodist Church or the World Gospel Mission.
