Carolyn M. Kirkwood, age 72, passed away on Wed., Jan. 15, 2020 at Cloud County Health Center, Concordia, KS.  She was born on July 17, 1947 in Blair, NE to Ronald M. & Margaret (Kirkpatrick) Stringer.

Carolyn graduated high school in Denver, CO.  She later received a Bachelor's degree in Theology.  She married Charles A. Kirkwood on Aug. 29, 1975 in Denver, CO and he preceded her in death on Dec. 4, 2000.

Carolyn was a CNA and homemaker.  Carolyn moved to Concordia in 2002 to be closer to her family.  She was a member of the Living Cornerstone Fellowship, Delphos.

Carolyn is survived by her sons, Paul Kirkwood, Minneapolis & Roy Kirkwood (Brooke), Concordia; sister, Shirley Stace, Seattle, WA; brother, Larry Stringer (Carol), Concordia; 5 grandchildren & 1 great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; her parents, a step-son, Charles E. Kirkwood & sisters, Barbara Gorton, June Stringer & Judy Kurth.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM, Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia with Pastor Barry Nelson officiating.  Burial will be at a later date at the Ft. Logan National Cemetery, Denver, CO beside her husband.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with family greeting friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday, January 20, 2020 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home in Concordia.
