Clyde "Wayne" Ketterer was born May 22, 1940 in Lincoln, Nebraska to Clyde George and Margaret (Walsh) Ketterer. He passed away on May 30, 2007 at his home at the age of 67. He graduated from Haddam High School in 1958. He married Janie Marie Ackerman on June 27, 1970 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Concordia, Kansas. She preceded him in death on April 6, 1993. He served in the Army from 1963 to 1965. He was a livestock buyer. He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Moose Lodge #1428, life member at American Legion Post #76, and Knights of Columbus all of Concordia, Kansas. He is survived by his two sons- Marvin Ketterer of Manhattan; John Ketterer and wife Amanda, of Manhattan; a brother: Daniel "Pat" Ketterer and wife Margaret of Concordia, Kansas; a sister: Margaret "Joyce" Morey and husband Lee of Concordia, Kansas. He was preceded in death by his wife- Janie, a niece- Margaret Ann Morey, and his parents. Services will be 10:00AM, Monday, June 4, 2007 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home with the Rev. LeRoy Metro officiating. Visitation will be from 2PM to 9PM Sunday at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home with family receiving friends from 4:30PM to 6:30PM Sunday. Graveside Military honors will be conducted at St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery, Meredith Twsp with American Legion Post #76 VFW Post # 588. Memorials have been designated to be determined at a later date.
