Crystelle Ganson, age 96, went to straighten up Heaven on May 2, 2014. She was a graduate of University of Kansas and a lifelong Jayhawk fan. Crys was involved in several charitable activities including Meals on Wheels, United Methodist Women, and Daughters of the American Revolution. She spent much of her time caring for those who needed a little support, a small favor, or simply someone to talk to.
Crys was born on Jan. 24, 1918 to William Charles and Neva (Larson) Anderson in Tescott, Kansas. She had four brothers and sisters: Alice May, Winston, John Chris, and Eugene. She married James D. Ganson in the same Tescott house where she was born (different room) on Feb. 7, 1943. Crystelle was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years on March 9, 2010. She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Rude; her son-in-law, Richard Rude; daughter-in-spirit, Susie Krier; doctor-visit buddy, Dennis Krier; granddaughter, Dr. Amy Michalski; great-grandsons, Nathan and Ryan Michalski; grandson, Paul Taylor; his wife, Deborah Taylor; great granddaughters, Crystelle and Larenne Taylor; grandson, Adam Krier; his wife, Tiffany Krier; their children, Gage and Alexis; grandson, Kyle Krier, his wife, Laura Krier, their children, Austin, Ayden, and Ayslynn; granddaughter, Kendra Krier; her children, Bella and Skylah; and grandson, Zachary Krier.
It was her wishes to be cremated and a Service of Remembrance will be at 6:30 pm, Fri., May 23, 2014 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia with Pastor Tessa Zehring officiating. Family burial of the cremains will be in the Franklin Cemetery, Tescott. Friends may sign the register book from 9 am to 9 pm with family greeting friends from 5-6:30 pm, Friday, May 23, 2014 at the funeral home.
Crys will miss all her friends dearly. Have no fear, she will be waiting for you with a smile and a deck of cards. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the First United Methodist Church or Donor's Choice.
