Cynthia A. Appleby was born on July 27, 1964 in Belleville, KS to Holman D. & Glada M. (Clark) Adkins. She passed from this life on Saturday, Nov. 29, 2008 at Cloud County Health Center, Concordia, KS at the age of 44. She graduated from Concordia High School in 1982. She married and had 2 daughters. She worked as a dietary manager for Nicol Home in Glaso until she became disabled. She later married Arlen Appleby. She volunteered and assisted with DVAC. She is survived by her husband, Arlen Appleby, Jamestown, KS; daughters, K'La Ruane, Manhattan, KS & Cassie Johnson & husband Gerald, Concordia, KS; step-sons, Jason Appleby, Concordia, KS & Curtis Appleby, Concordia, KS; her parents, Holman & Glada Adkins, Glasco, KS; sister, Rachel Adkins, Glasco, KS; brother, Mitch Adkins, Salina, KS; grandchildren, Grace Elizabeth Swim, Manhattan, KS, Ethan Holman Johnson, Concordia, KS & Cara Elizabeth Johnson, Concordia, KS. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Chad H. & Timothy R. Adkins. The family choose cremation and will hold private family services. There will be no visitation.
