Dale J. Deneault I, 66
years of age, of Concordia, passed away at his home surrounded by family
Wednesday, April 3, 2013. He was born in Concordia on May 17, 1946 to Ovid
Alcid and Dora Emma (Schille) Deneault. Dale graduated from Notre Dame High
School in Concordia in 1964. He married Charolette Smith in Concordia on
November 12, 1966. Dale served his country in the United States Army from June
of 1967 to August of 1969. He loved camping, boating, hunting, his dogs Kahlua
and Tater, but especially, Dale loved spending time with his family and
grandkids.
Dale is survived by his
wife Charolette; 2 daughters, Denell Wheeler and husband Brian of Minneapolis,
Debbie Hoffer and husband Rod of Topeka; son, Dale Deneault II of Concordia; 6
grandchildren, Braxtyn Wheeler, Brittany Wheeler, Dustin Hoffer and wife Kaci,
Darrick Hoffer, Rylee Hoffer, Dale Deneault III; 2 sisters, Edna Lervold,
Barbara Jager and husband Bob, both of Concordia; 3 sisters-in-law, Karen Dykes
and husband Bob, Rhonda Bunch and husband Jerry, Lisa Snavely and husband Mike,
all of Concordia; 5 brothers-in-law, Kevin Smith and wife Jacque of Concordia,
Brad Smith and wife Rhonda of El Dorado, Kent Smith and wife Julie of
Concordia, Terry Smith and wife Modene, Todd Smith and wife Dana, both of
Salina; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents;
grandson, Joey Wheeler; and brother-in-law, Dale Lervold.
Mass of Christian
Burial will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, April 8, 2013 in the Our Lady of
Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Concordia with Rev. Msgr. Barry Brinkman
officiating. Interment will be in the St. Concordia Cemetery in Concordia with
military rites provided by Ft. Riley Personnel.
Visitation will be held from noon to 8 PM Sunday, April 7, 2013 with a vigil
service at 6:30 PM at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home in Concordia. Memorials are
suggested to Meadowlark Hospice or Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church
in care of the funeral home. Condolences may be left online at
