Dale L. Valeka was born on May 10, 1959 in San Francisco, CA to Jackie & Carolyn (Armstrong) Valeka. He passed from this life on Friday, August 14, 2009 in Concordia, KS at the age of 50. Dale grew up in California. He briefly served in the military. He worked as an auto mechanic in Hebron, NE and Concordia, KS. Lately he worked at Rod's Food Store in the Deli department. Dale enjoyed landscaping and planting. He landscaped in Las Vegas & Indiana. He was a former member of Moose Lodge #1428. He is survived by a sister: Noel Valeka, Belleville, KS; stepmother: Mary Valeka, Scandia, KS; stepbrother: Doug Campbell, Belleville, KS; niece: Lizz Skocny & husband Mike, Cuba, KS; great nieces & nephew: Alexus, Sklyer & Drew Skocny, Cuba, KS; nephew: Scott Beck, Lakewood, CO; great niece & nephew: Nevaeh & Ashton Beck, Lakewod, CO; adopted sister: Bersita Mendenhall & husband Raymond, Concordia, KS; adopted sister: Shawna Mendenhall, Concordia, KS & several aunts, cousins & friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorial services will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, August 22, 2009 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia with Charlie Novak officiating. The family chose cremation and friends may sign the register book from 9 AM to 8 PM with the family greeting friends from 5-7 PM, Friday, Aug. 21, 2009 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia. The family suggests memorials to the donor's choice in care of the funeral home.
