Danny Fief was born on March 6, 1948 in Concordia , KS to Florentine Fief. He died at his home in Concordia , KS on Sunday, April 29, 2012 at the age of 64. Danny graduated from Notre Dame Catholic High School , Concordia and then Emporia State University with degrees in History and Philosophy. He was a hearing aid specialist for 38 years and Board certified in Hearing Instrument Sciences. Danny was a Past President of the Kansas Hearing Society. Danny was an avid dog lover and car enthusiast. He is survived by his daughter, Abbey Ross & husband Jason, Phoenix, AZ; son, Sean Fief; aunt, Janice Fief, Glasco, KS, cousins, Larry Fief & wife Sheila, Salina, KS, Gregory Fief and wife Gayla, Manhattan, KS & Annette Lounds & husband Norman, Winfield, KS & a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, grandparents and an uncle, Alfred Fief. Cremation was selected and Memorial Services will be at 2 PM, Fri, May 4, 2012 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home with Rev. Barry Brinkman officiating. Burial of the cremains will follow the services at St. Mary's Cemetery, Jamestown , KS . Friends may sign the register book from 9 am to 9 pm Thurs, May 3, 2012 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to KSDS (Service Dogs) in care of the funeral home.
