Darrel Barnett was born on Nov. 30, 1973 in Concordia, KS to Gene and Ann (Jeppesen) Barnett. He passed from this life on Wed., Nov. 5, 2008 at Cloud County Health Center, Concordia, KS at the age of 34.  He graduated from Concordia High School in 1993.  He worked for Solt Construction, then later for both Solt Const. and McDonald's of Concordia, where he later became the Asst. Manager.  He married April Newton on Sept. 9, 2000 at Concordia Lutheran Church, Concordia.  He was a member of the Concordia Lutheran Church and a member of Moose Lodge #1428 where he served as an officer.  He is survived by his wife, April, Concordia; parents, Gene & Ann Barnett, Concordia; sister, Linda Conyac & husband Phillip, Stockton, KS; father in law, Don Newton, Concordia; sisters in law, Judy Stanley & husband Rob, Emporia, KS and Ann Weaver & husband Charles, Salina, KS; brothers in law, Jason Buttenhoff & Walter Newton, Concordia; nieces & nephews, Alyssa, Emily, Cayden & Gage Conyac and Chloe, Cadon, Cord & Connor Stanley; several aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of family and friends.  He was preceded in death by his sister, Jenny Barnett; grandparents, Ben & Nettie Barnet & Carol & Delbert Jeppesen; mother in law, Judy Newton and a nephew, Dustin Newton.  Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, Nov. 8, 2008 at Concordia Lutheran Church with Rev. David Strommen officiating.  Burial will follow the services at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia.  Visitation will be held from 2-9 PM with the family greeting friends from 7-8 PM Fri, Nov. 7, 2008 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home.  The family will designate a memorial at a later date.
