David Lee Dutton, age 66, former Concordia resident, entered into rest on Thursday, June 25, 2015 at his home in Warsaw, Missouri.  He was born in Concordia, Kansas on July 10, 1948 to Orville and Louise (Dugan) Dutton.

He graduated from Concordia High School in 1966 where he participated in FFA.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, car restoration, archery, racing, and trap shooting.

Dave was a United States Army veteran serving during the Vietnam War, and was awarded the Purple Heart, for wounds received in action.  He was honorably discharged with Rank of E-4.

Dave was a Snap-on Tool Sales Representative, and a Rural Postal Carrier in Concordia.

He married Danette Koch at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Concordia in August 1973.  They later divorced.

He married Sharon Meinert in Dennison, Colorado on July 3, 1991.  She survives of the home.

Other survivors include his two daughters, Jennifer Dutton, Kansas City, MO.; Amanda Dutton, San Diego, CA.; one son, Jeffrey, Los Angeles, CA.; one step-daughter, Salem Cairns (Chris) Eldorado, KS.; brother, Dennis Dutton , Windsor, CO.; four sisters, Leslie Smith, Westminister, CO.; Patricia Shubert, Salina, KS.; Nora Parker (Robert), Manhattan, KS.; Marcey Baumgartner, Sabetha, KS.; four grandchildren, and multiple nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by both parents, and one sister, Martha Gatrell.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.  Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. all at the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home in Concordia.

A Funeral Service will be held 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home with Rev. Dean Frazier officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, Jamestown, Kansas.  Military rites will be conducted by American Legion Post #76 and Fort Riley Big Red One.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Wounded Warrior Project in care of the Funeral Home.  For online condolences may be sent to www.chaputbuoy.com
