Obituary
David Michael Hazelwood, age 66, entered into rest on November 14, 2016, at Via Christ-St. Francis, in Wichita, Kansas. He was born September 21, 1950 in Salina, Kansas to Henry U. and Shirley M. (Marott) Hazelwood.
He graduated from Salina Central High School. He was a US Navy Vietnam Veteran. He also was called to work the Apollo 14 and 16 recovery team.
He worked in Sales and management for his father's Box Company in Salina, and later Mankato, Kansas.
His memberships include American Legion Post # 76 where he served as 6
th
District Commander, Post Commander For 2 years and also served as area west Commander.
Survivors include his, partner, Teresa Benson, Concordia, Ks.; 6 grandchildren.
David was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers.
Cremation has taken place and a graveside memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m., on Monday, November 21, 2016 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia, Kansas. The American Legion Post #76 will be conducting military rites and service.
Memorial contributions may be given to American Legion Post #76 in c/o Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home.
