David B. Jones, age 90, died Wed., October 17, 2018 at Park Villa Nursing Home, Clyde.  He was born in Portsmouth, NH on July 18, 1928 to Harold & Dorothy (Becker) Jones.

David married Genevieve A. Hockman on Feb. 6, 1954 in Clyde, KS.  David joined the U.S. Air Force on Aug. 22, 1946 and served his country for 29 years, being stationed at various bases in California, Massachusetts, Hawaii, Japan, Vietnam, Thailand, Illinois, Arkansas, Texas & New Hampshire.  After his retirement from the Air Force on Jan. 31, 1975, David worked as an airplane mechanic at the Blosser Airport in Concordia, was a rural mail carrier and volunteer Fire Chief for Clyde.  He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and the VFW #7515, both in Clyde.

David is survived by his wife, Genevieve, Clyde; sisters in law, JoAnne Balthazor, Clyde, Gloria Naillieux, Valparaiso, IN & Martha Jones, Newington, NH and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces & great nephews and a community of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Warren & Niel Jones & a brother in law, Arthur Hockman.

Funeral Mass will beat 10:00 am, Mon., Oct. 22, 2018 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Clyde with Fr. Steven Heina officiating.  Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Clyde with Military honors conducted by the U.S. Air Force, McConnell AFB, Wichita, KS.  Visitation will be Sun., Oct. 21, 2018 at Chaput Mortuary from 1-6 pm with a Rosary at 5 pm.  The family suggests memorials to Meadowlark Hospice or Park Villa Nursing Home in care of the funeral home.  For online condolences, please visit www.chaputbuoy.com.
