David Stevenson was born on October 21, 1944 in San Antonio, TX to Frank & Martha (McClerkin) Stevenson.  He passed from this life on Thursday, March 5, 2009 at Mitchell County Hospital in Beloit, KS at the age of 64.  D avid graduated from Little Rock Central High School in Little Rock, Arkansas. He then attended the University of Arkansas Fayetteville. David married Becky Reaves on Nov. 27, 1965 in Little Rock, Arkansas. He went to work for J.C. Penney's at Hot Springs, Arkansas and continued to work for J.C. Penney's as a store manager at several different stores until illness forced him to retire in March 1995 at the J.C. Penney's store in Concordia, Kansas. He was a member of the Concordia Rotary Club of Concordia, KS. He was a former member of the Lion's Club, Chamber of Commerce and helped with Little League in Denison, TX. David was an avid fisherman and particularly enjoyed his annual trip to Lake Fork, TX.  David is survived by his wife, Becky Stevenson, Concordia, KS; a daughter, Lori Schmida & husband Corey, Omaha, NE; a son, Bart Stevenson & wife Carrie, Ft. Worth, TX; a sister, Gaylynn Clements & husband Jerry, Memphis, TN & his grandchildren, Adam, Trevor & Zachary Stevenson and Blake and Allie Schimda.  He was preceded in death by his father, mother & step-father.  Private family services and a celebration of David's life will be held at a later date.  There will be no visitation, the body was cremated.  The family suggests memorials to Ducks Unlimited.
