Dawnel F. Peterson, age 59, passed away on Monday, October 6, 2025 at the Hilltop Lodge Health and Rehabilitation in Beloit, Kansas.  She was born on May 20, 1966 in Concordia, Kansas to Sharon (Hubert) Rhea of Concordia, Kansas and Warren Christenson of Collinsville, Oklahoma.

Dawnel is survived by her parents, sister, Gail (Bill) White, Concordia, KS; brother, Shawn (Susan) Christenson, Rifle, CO; Brandon (Kristen) Christenson, Concordia, KS; Her children, Christina (Cean) Prebble, Brittany (Wyatt) Neptune, Brooke Neptune and Evin (Suzanna) Neptune; her grandchildren, Alysha Prebble, LillyAnn and Orion Conard, Jaxson, Scarlett and Walker Johnston, and Nash Neptune all of Rifle, CO.

She was preceded in death by her husband Rocky Peterson, brothers, Brian and Scott Christenson, maternal grandparents, Adlore and Berenice Hubert and paternal grandparents, Louis and Pauline Christenson.

Cremation has taken place and Family graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, St. Joseph, Kansas.
