Obituary

Dean Townsdin was born on April 5, 1924 in Concordia, Kansas to L.E. and Zella Mae Senter Townsdin. He passed from this life on Sunday, August 19, 2007 at Cloud County Health Center, Concordia, Kansas at the age of 83. He graduated from Concordia High School. He joined the US Army and served during WWII from 1942 to 1945. He married Anna M. Lone on Sept. 28, 1947 in Concordia, KS. She survives the home. He was an automotive parts salesman for Regnier Auto Parts for over 25 years. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, VFW Post #588 and St. John's Masonic Lodge #113 AF & AM all of Concordia. He was a Past Master of St. John's Masonic Lodge and a member of the Isis Shrine in Salina. He enjoyed woodworking. He is survived by his wife, Anna; daughters, Kathy Worlock and Hus. Bill, Delphos, KS and Debbie Wilder and Hus. Dennis, O'Fallon, MO; 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant sister and an infant grandchild. Services will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2007 at 10:00 AM at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Chapel, Concordia, with the Pastor L. Dean Thompson officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 AM to 9 PM on Mon., Aug. 20, 2007 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home where the family will greet friends from 6-8 PM. Following the services, burial will be at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia where Masonic graveside services will be conducted by St. John's Lodge #113 AF & AM and Military graveside honors will be conducted by American Legion Post #76 and VFW Post #588. The family suggests memorials to the Rebecca A. Morrison House or the Donor's choice.
