Donald L. Perkins, age 82, died Wed., Jan. 2, 2019 in Tyler, TX.  He was born in Concordia, KS on Feb. 3, 1936 to Stanley & Ida F. (Basnett) Perkins.

Don graduated from Concordia schools and served in the US Marine Corps.  He retired from the aircraft/aerospace industry in California in 1994 and then spent the next 10 years in the rental business until he retired again.  Don was married to Shirley (Davidson) Perkins for 53 years.

He is survived by his sons, Dave Perkins, Arp, TX & Mark Perkins, Wilsonville, OR; 4 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and sisters, Sue Sloane, California & Sandy Foster of Oregon.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley in 2011; his parents & 2 sisters, Doris Church & Delcie Jordon.

Don selected cremation and burial of the cremains will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia.  The family suggests memorials to Hospice of East Texas in care of the funeral home.  For online condolences, please visit www.chaputbuoy.com.
