Donna J. Petersen, age 92, died on January 19, 2015 at the Via Christi-St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, Kansas. She was born November 24, 1922 in Miltonvale, Kansas to Harlow and Retha (Wheeler) Willard.

She graduated Miltonvale High School. Donna worked for Cheyenne Lodge Nursing as a CMA for 40 years. She enjoyed sewing, garage sales and auctions.

She married Alan Jay Petersen on September 12, 1945 in Belleville, KS. He preceded her in death on April 19, 2012.

Donna is survived by a daughter, Pam Dyer, Wichita, KS; a son, Tom Petersen (Linda), Jamestown; sister, Irene Laflin, Newton, KS.; 5 grandchildren & 4 great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.

There will be no visitation.

Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held 10:30 a.m., Friday, January 23, 2015 at the St. Luke's Lutheran Church. Inurnment will follow in the St. Luke's Lutheran Cemetery, Jamestown, KS.

Memorials may be given to the St. Luke's Lutheran Church c/o of Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home.
