Obituary
Doris B. Herrman, age 67, was welcomed into heaven on Sun, May 8, 2016 at Via Christi-St. Francis Hospital, Wichita, KS. She was born on May 29, 1948 in Belleville, KS to Eugene V. & Patricia J. (Ball) Herrman.
Doris graduated from Scandia Rural High School in 1966. For many years she lived in Concordia and for the last several years she resided in Norway, Kansas. She was baptized and confirmed in Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Norway, KS and was attending Concordia Wesleyan Church. Doris worked as a Nanny for several years and had various home/health care jobs throughout her life. She had a special heart for children and senior citizens. She always stepped up when a disadvantaged person needed a helping hand and provided support. She also was an avid supporter of Women of Faith Conferences for 15+ years organizing bus trips to the conferences throughout the Midwest.
Doris is survived by her father, Eugene, Norway; Sisters, Vickie Hall (Gerold), Scandia & Carol McDaniel (Ronald), Philippi, WV; brothers, Howard (Paula), Norway, Eric (Pamela) Palm Desert, CA, Victor (Laura), Skidmore, MO & Olaf (Katherine), Talmage, KS; several nieces and nephews and a host of dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia & brother, Harold Herrman.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 am, Fri., May 13, 2016 at the Norway Community Center, Norway, KS with Pastor Kathy Aeillo officiating. Burial will follow at the Norway Cemetery, Norway, KS. Visitation will be on Thurs., May 12, 2016 from 9 am to 9 pm with the family greeting friends from 6-8 pm at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia. Memorials will be to the Family's Choice in care of the funeral home.
