Dorothea (Dorothy "Dot") Angeline Cyphers (Lanoue) born May 1, 1919 to Dona and Gretchen (Hill) Lanoue passed peacefully from this life at age 93 on May 21, 2012. On December 13, 1936 she was married to Mike Henry Cyphers in Concordia, Kansas of this marriage was born one daughter Patricia Ann Cyphers (Wright) and one son Richard Leon Cyphers. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two sisters, Aretta Harris, Delores Schleuder and three brothers, Howard, James and Gene Lanoue. Survivors include her brother Gerald Lanoue & wife Shirley of Concordia, daughter Patricia and husband Donald Wright of Norfolk, Va. and son Richard and wife Phyllis of Concordia, 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Her wish was cremation and Memorial Services will be held at 10:30 am, Mon, June 4, 2012 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Burns officiating and burial following at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Friends may sign the register book from 12-6 pm, Sun., June 3, 2012 at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials to Meadowlark Hospice or Sunset Nursing Home in care of the funeral home.
