Dorothy L. Plumly was born on April 7, 1915 in Hill City, KS to John A. & Marie P. (Personette) Martin.  She passed from this life on Friday, Oct. 30, 2009 at Salina Regional Medical Center, Salina, KS at the age of 94.  She graduated from Clyde High School and cosmetology school in Topeka then returned to Concordia to open a beauty shop. She married Lester G. Plumly on July 23, 1938 in Minneapolis , KS . After Lester completed his military duty in the Army, they returned to Concordia where Lester later worked for Cloud Ceramics and she as a homemaker. He preceded her in death on March 8, 1989.  She was a homemaker. Dorothy is survived by her sister, Althea Downer, Oxford, KS and several nieces & nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, sister, Louise Crowley and a brother in 1922. Private family graveside services will be held at the Mount Hope Cemetery, Clyde, KS.  Friends may sign the register book from 8 AM to 12 PM, Mon., Nov. 2, 2009 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia.
