Eleanor Christine Tyler, died July 20, 2011, in
Eleanor Christine Owens was born October 29, 1920, in Flatbush,
Eleanor worked as a comparison shopper and showroom model. Throughout World War II, she volunteered her evenings as an ambulance attendant and sold War Bonds, rising to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the Blue Star Brigade.

Eleanor is survived by her six children: sons James and wife, Martha, Concordia; Tom and Betty, St. Louis, MO; Robert and wife, Gwen, Winfield; Steven, and wife, Laura, Kansas City, MO; daughters, Christine and husband, James Klasinski, Kansas City, MO; and Anne Brumbaugh, Overland Park; a brother, Albert Owens, Conway, SC. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild: Danielle Morris, and husband, Robert, Chandler, AZ; Christopher Tyler, and wife, Laura, and their daughter, Mary Elizabeth, Winfield; Holly Brumbaugh and Ryan Wohlers, Shawnee; William K. Brumbaugh, Waco, TX, and fiancé, Klaire Mann, Manhattan; Kathryn Brumbaugh, Lawrence; James, Peter, and John Tyler, Concordia; and Mia and Lucia Tyler, Kansas City, MO.
Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband, William B. Tyler, her parents, and her granddaughter, Alison Rose Tyler Alcalde.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 21, from 3 to 9 p.m. with an Altar Society Rosary at 5 PM and Vigil services at 6:30 PM all at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, July 22, at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Concordia, Rev. Barry Brinkman officiating. Burial will be in
