Elmer J. LeBlanc, age 77, entered into rest on Saturday, August 1, 2020, at Pinnacle Park Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, in Salina, Kansas.  He was born on November 4, 1942 in Concordia, Kansas to George and Lillie (Bachamp) LeBlanc.

Elmer spent his early years on a farm south of St. Joseph, KS until the family moved to Concordia, KS where he attended the Concordia Catholic Schools. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Navy. He was proud to be a veteran and attended many Navy Reunions.

After discharge from the Navy he worked several jobs in Salina, including at Exide as a welder, Rema Bakeware and Tony's pizza. He also used to collect scrap iron and copper to sell. He also liked to help his good friend, Charlie Mann, and fishing.

Salina residents may remember Elmer riding around town on his bicycle, collecting aluminum cans.

Elmer is survived by one brother, Bernard LeBlanc and wife (Truda), Axtell, TX and one sister, Arlene Gilbert, Fairview, KS; sister-in-law, Carla LeBlanc, Powell, WY; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, George LeBlanc, mother, Lillie LeBlanc-Fief, step father, Louis (Curly) Fief, two brothers, Earl LeBlanc and George (Jr.) wife (Linda) LeBlanc; and one sister, Teresa (Richard) Portman, Brother-in-law, Alvin Gilbert.

A graveside prayer service will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 6, 2020 with Fr. Steven Heina officiating at the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, St. Joseph, Kansas.
