Erma C. Sallman, age 93, died Sat., Aug. 24, 2013 at Cloud County Health Center, Concordia. She was born on Sept. 4, 1919 in Cloud County, KS to Thomas & Emma (Hamil) Porter.

She married Elden Sallman on Sept. 1, 1937 in Concordia. Erma and Elden made their home in Aurora, KS for 40 years until he preceded her on May 27, 1998. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church. Erma has lived in Topeka & the K.C. area, near her daughters the past 9 years, prior to recently returning to Concordia and Sunset Home.

She is survived by her son, Erick Sallman & wife Traci, Lincoln; daughters, Lois Newton & hus. Gary, Topeka, Joyce Sallman, Aurora, Terrie Boguski & hus. Mark, Olathe & Marietta Hruza & hus. Marlin, Emporia; 16 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elden; 3 infant sons, Elden, Jr, John & Richard; a grandson, Clint Eary; step grandson, Todd Renne; her parents & brother, Howard Porter.

Funeral services will be at 10 AM, Tues., Aug. 27, 2013 at Concordia Lutheran Church with Rev. David Strommen officiating. Burial will follow the services at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia. Visitation will be from 1-9 PM with the family greeting friends from 6-8 PM, Mon. at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials to Concordia Lutheran Church, Cloud County Health Center or Sunset Home in care of the funeral home.
