Esther Arlene (Belden) Myers, 101, Concordia, Kansas, passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2026. She was born on December 4, 1924, daughter of George E. & Edythe Pearl (Jones) Belden.
Esther graduated from Mankato High School, KS in 1940.
She married Lee R. Myers in Concordia on July 27, 1942. This union brought four daughters.
Esther spent time as a farmwife and a mother. She was also a Bluebird and Campfire Girls Leader. She worked as a cook and facilities employee at Cloud County Community College. She is a former member of the VFW Women’s Auxiliary.
Her hobbies included gardening, sewing, crafting, crochet, knitting, embroidery, cooking, and baking. She enjoyed camping with her friends and family.
Esther is survived by her 4 daughters, Carol Edmonds and husband Arlen of Clyde, Dora Gail Johnson and special friend Bill Powell, Janice Vignery and husband David, both of Concordia, Terri Ferguson of Dallas, TX; 6 grandchildren, Bradley Johnson and Fiancée Kim Benson , Kristine Johnson of Salina, Bobbie Jo Collette and husband Jeremy of Junction City, Tony Vignery of Olathe, Mackenzie Ferguson and husband Nathan Donelli of New Orleans, LA, Alexander Ferguson and wife Melissa Perkins of Chicago, IL; 6 great grandchildren, Tierra Johnson and husband Harrison Knopp of Salina, Taylor Hesse and husband Nolan of Manhattan, Dyllan Colette and wife Maddie of Wichita, Caden Collette and Fiancée Grace Lichtensteiger of Junction City, Gavin and Kena Vignery of Olathe; 6 great grandchildren: Rosalie and Winona Hesse, Levi, Miles, and Wyatt Knopp, and Dax and Sunday Collette; Sisters-in-Law Wanda Myers of Topeka and Sylvia Kell of Scappoose, OR. and several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her, husband, Lee R. Myers, parents and 2 sisters, Leola Mick and Sylvia Sutton.
A funeral service will be held at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. with family leading the service. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia, KS. Visitation with family greeting friends will be held before services on Thursday, June 18, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia, KS.
Following the graveside services, a reception will be held at the Concordia Lutheran Church, Concordia, KS.
