Evelyn M. Bohling was born on Nov. 2, 1930 in Topeka, KS to Carl & Marie (Wilhelm) Zwonitzer. She passed from this life on Thurs., Jan. 1, 2009 at Mt. Joseph Senior Community, Concordia at the age of 78. Evelyn graduated from Topeka High School in 1948. She attended Kansas State University. Evelyn married Victor Bohling at St. John's Lutheran Church in Topeka, KS on Dec. 18, 1949. She and Victor moved to Concordia, KS and have been residents since 1956. Evelyn worked as a clerk for Farm Management Assoc. in Concordia until her retirement in 1984. She was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Victor Bohling, Concordia, KS; daughters, Terry Caldwell & husband Randy, Osborne, KS & Vicki Reiter & husband Jim, Concordia, KS; a son, Larry Bohling, Salina, KS; grandchildren, Jody Dorman, Wichita, KS & Nan Caldwell, Aurora, CO; step grandchildren, Kristie Richardson & husband Robert, Indianapolis, IN & Kimberly Bruestkern & husband Ben, Waterloo, IA; great grandchildren, Terran & Raya Caldwell, Aurora, CO. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wed., Jan. 7, 2009 at Concordia Lutheran Church, Concordia with Rev. David Strommen officiating. Visitation will be held from 9 AM to 9 PM with the family greeting friends from 7-8 PM, Tues., Jan. 6, 2009 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home. Burial will follow the services at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia. The family suggests memorials to Concordia Lutheran Church or the donor's choice.
