Floyd was born February 8, 1916 in Cloud County to Perry and Anna Forsling Johnson. He died Sat., Jan. 27, 2007 at his residence in Concordia, KS. He attended rural country schools at Cottonwood in Cloud County. Floyd married Gerna Kelly on July 20, 1942 in Belleville, KS. He worked in and around Concordia all his life. He worked for Midway Motors and Noll Ford. He donated blood to the American Red Cross. Floyd was a member of the First United Methodist Church and a charter member of Drifting Clouds. Survivors include his wife, Gerna Johnson, daughter- Carolyn Zoemisch and husband Michael of Mesa, AZ; 3 sons- Floyd Johnson, Jr, & wife Donna of Dodge City, KS; James Johnson & wife Shirley of Concordia, KS; and Richard Johnson and wife Pam of Blackwell, OK; 2 sisters- Vickie Roberts of Concordia; Treva Jorend of Oro Valley, AZ; and 3 brothers- Marvin Johnson and wife Ila of Lindsborg, KS; Gene Johnson, of Concordia, KS; and Leo Johnson and wife Jan of Clay Center, KS. 12 Grandchildren and 15 Great Grandchildren. The service will be at 10:00am Wednesday at the First United Methodist Church, Concordia. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Meadowlark Hospice or the church. Visitation will be 9am to 9pm Tuesday at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, where family will receive friends from 6:30PM to 8PM.
