Forrest Junior Dick was born on May 16, 1924 to Forrest Cecil and Ellen Josephine Anderson Dick in Topeka, Kansas. He passed from this life on April 8, 2008 at Belleville Healthcare Center, Belleville, Kansas at the age of 83. He grew up in the Concordia, KS area. He married Margaret Kagle. She preceded him in death. He married Avalee Englund on Oct. 3, 1973 in Cheyenne, Wyoming. She survives the home. He was an over the road truck driver until his retirement in 1986. He served in the US Army as a Sgt. during the Korean War. He was a member of American Legion Post #76, VFW Post #588 and Moose Lodge #1428 all of Concordia. He is survived by his wife, Avalee of the home; step-daughter, Trish Bishop and hus. Tim, Concordia, KS; step-son, Terry Cherney and wife Paula, Agenda, KS; niece, Carol Parker and hus. Al Aburto, San Diego, CA; 7 step grandchildren; 8 step great grandchildren; 2 great nieces & 3 great nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret; his parents; a daughter, Deborah Dick; sisters, Mildred Valk and Dorothy Vannice and a brother, Chester Dick. Memorial services will be held on Friday, April 11, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Chapel, Concordia. The body was cremated but friends may sign the register book from 8 AM to 5 PM, Thursday, April 10, 2008 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home. A private family inurnment will be held later at the Union Cemetery in Wayne, KS. The family suggests memorials to Meadowlark Hospice or Agenda United Methodist Church.
