Frances L. (Robinson) Marteney was born on Oct. 23, 1937 in Burnsville, NC to Vasco & Florence (Jones) Robinson. She passed from this life on Sunday, April 5, 2009 at Cloud County Health Center, Concordia, KS at the age of 71. Frances attended and graduated from Burnsville schools in Burnsville, NC. She was married to Ralph Boone, Gaye Treadway and later William Marteney. She was an instructional aid in the San Bernardino school district in San Bernardino, CA for 25 years until her retirement. Frances attended First Christian Church, Concordia. She is survived by her daughters, Linda Wogomon & husband Tim, Concordia, KS & Sandra Daughtry & husband Dean, St. Louis, MO; sister, Joyce Oliver, Burnsville, NC; grandchildren, Timothy Wogomon, Jr., Leeann Wogomon & Trisha Wogomon, all of Concordia, KS & Anna Daughtry, St. Louis, MO & a great grandchild, Airianna Wogomon, Concordia, KS. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Marteney; brother, Vasco Robinson, Jr. & her parents. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM, Wed., April 8, 2009 at First Christian Church with Rev. John States officiating. Friends may sign the register book from 9 AM to 5 PM, Tues., April 7, 2009 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home. The body was cremated. The family suggests memorials to First Christian Church.
