Francis E. Cote was born on June 12, 1928 in Concordia, KS to Wilfred & Josephine (Marcotte) Cote. He passed from this life on Saturday, April 17, 2010 at Cloud County Health Center, Concordia at the age of 81. Francis married Wanda Strait on March 18, 1957 in New Mexico. Francis was a farmer and a welder at CES/ABB. He later drove cars for Womack Sunshine Ford. He was a member of American Legion Post #76. He is survived by his wife: Wanda Cote, Clyde, KS; daughters: Judy Richey & husband Don, Derby, KS & Cindy Cote, Wichita, KS; son: Rickie Cote & wife Lisa, Wichita, KS; brother: Clyde Belden & wife Marie, San Diego, CA; sister: Virginia Seim & husband Wayne, Concordia, KS; 7 grandchildren & 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM, Wed., April 21, 2010 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Concordia with Rev. Barry Brinkman officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 AM to 9 PM with vigil services will be held at 6:30 PM, Tues., April 20 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home. Burial will follow the services at St. Concordia Cemetery, Concordia, KS. The family suggests memorials to A.A. of Concordia.
