Frank J. Waite, Jr was born on April 4, 1923 in Concordia, KS to Frank J. & Margaret V. (Adcock) Waite, Sr. He passed from this life on Friday, Jan. 28, 2011 at Mt. Joseph Senior Village, Concordia, KS at the age of 87. Frank came to Concordia at the age of 7. He served in the US Navy during WWII and then
in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a welder by trade. He is survived by his wife: Stella Waite, Miltonvale, KS; sons: Frank Waite, IV, Delphos, KS, Robert Waite, Miltonvale, KS & Terry Greer, Minneapolis, KS; daughters: Pat Gill, Mesa, AZ, Joyce Cairns, Glasco, KS & Jan Stiener, Beloit, KS; brother: Hank Waite, Alexander, AR; 23 grandchildren & several great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents & brothers, Robert & Jess. Memorial graveside services will be held at 11 AM, Wed., Feb. 2, 2011 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia with Pastor L. Dean Thompson officiating. Military Honors will be conducted by American Legion Post #76 & VFW Post #588. The family suggests memorials to the Frank J. Waite, Jr. Memorial in care of the funeral home.
